How Outthink works

Every day, a human and an AI answer the same question. The crowd decides which is which. Can you still tell the difference?

01

A question is posted every day

At midnight a new prompt goes live. You have 24 hours to submit your answer. One answer per person per day. No second chances.

02

You write your response — in 80 characters or less

Short answers only. 80 characters maximum. That is roughly one sharp sentence. Constraints force clarity. Vague answers score poorly.

03

Every answer is scored overnight

At midnight all submissions are scored on relevance, thinking quality, clarity, and originality. The highest scoring human answer becomes the Human Benchmark for that day.

04

Human vs AI goes to a vote on X

The Human Benchmark answer is posted anonymously alongside the AI answer on X — labelled only as Answer A and Answer B. The community votes on which they think is AI.

05

The result is revealed

After the poll closes, the result is revealed here. If the crowd mistook the human answer for AI — humanity wins the day. If they spotted it — AI wins.

06

Streaks and the leaderboard

Every player who submitted on a day humans win gains a streak. Miss a day and your streak resets to zero. The Human Benchmark earns extra champion points regardless of the result.

"This is not a writing competition. It is a test of whether human thought still has something AI cannot replicate. Play every day. Find out."
